Those original VI seats are lush! Fitted to the 218iS if I recall (remember how soft they were when my parents test drove one and ended up ordering a VI-wish I could find a mint, low mile example now) too. Fairly sure at some point the VI received the equally lovely half leather with red piping as standard?
The Vi was strangely unloved when new, probably because it was rather understated and nobody could really work out what it was...
From launch in '95 the Vi had 'unusual' (aka never-used-again) Norse cloth seats only I think, but there was a range re-alignment sometime in late '96 that introduced the 218iS, which was a 'Vi minus the VVC bit', and put half-leather seats on the Vi.
There have been a set of half-leather seats on ebay for sometime for £175 but I have resisted as I can't really justify 3 sets of seats for one car and it wouldn't be original then would it?

Here's one for the purists!
This was just to see how much of a spacer might be needed to fit over the larger MG ZR front brakes.
It only needed a 2mm spacer for the wheel to clear the caliper but that was enough to virtually eliminate the central spigot engagement, so it's off again.
This central spigot is key to transferring wheel loads into the hub and relying on the 4 wheel studs to do this alone is not a good idea.
So fitment will have to wait until the brakes come off. Now can I wait until the re-timed Resto Show or not...?

Can you get spacers that extend the spigot profile though? That's the question.
That seat material does look rather nice. Seems to be of the hard wearing, warm and comfortable variety. I didn't actually know they did that seat design in that material. I've seen the suede/moquette material pairing, and the half leather, but not those.

Bought on ebay from 'j-f-customs' for a tenner. They come up if you type their name into ebay but it doesn't look like they've got a 200/25 listing up at the mo so I'd suggest contacting them through ebay and asking
