So today I removed the throttle body and mounting rubber entirely and the rubber was essentially so weak it ripped to shreds as soon as it was removed so I can't put it back on anymore. I don't really have an alternative solution now so I gotta find one of these mounts quite quickly as the car is booked in to get a clutch done in just over a week and the throttle body is surprisingly quite an integral part of a running car. Any ideas?

Part number was MKR10005 superseded to MKR10007, it was also used on the Metro GTi with multipoint injection.

A quick internet search does not reveal any leads on where you could get a new one.

You might be able to take the drastic step of fitting a complete plastic manifold assembly from a later car (the changeover took place late 1994) but your easiest option would be to see if one of the stainless steel items is available.

You could try a secondhand item too, but as it will be approaching 30 years old, it may not last very long and could even fail while you are fitting it.

I’d be tempted to get hold of some gasket paper, such as in the link below (a suggestion, not a recommendation) and make my own.

The original gasket or the throttle body itself could be used as a template. You’d just need a sharp knife and pencil.

Looked everywhere over the past week and still nothing found. It seems like they only made one mounting piece for every throttle body they made and then kept very few of them as spares. Based on the logged sold items on ebay, no one has ever sold that part. I guess its just one of those things you dont really think about but it appears the only remaining ones are already on a car.

For now I am looking at copying the original and 3D printing a temporary one out of a silicone resin and hope it stays held for long enough

Is the T Series one not a good alternative, or is it too different? could it be modified?

Was thinking about it but it doesnt look like the bolt holes are in the same place no matter what orientation it's at. I assume it could be modified to fit but for now I'll come back to it if my bodged attempt at printing one goes wrong haha

Turns out that after all that trouble, the steel ones andy makes for the T series engines DO fit the 214 K series mounts. Just replaced it today and figured I'd leave a bit of an update for people who may want to replace them in future since theres very little info around.

That being said even the OEM T series mounts fit. I was just looking at it from the wrong angle as it seems the photos online of the T series mount are flipped 90 degrees for whatever reason but they are indeed the same part.

Just following up on you TB bracket, making sure you have no issues with it, all feedback welcome..
