In addition to seeing all the cars and chatting to their owners, the following activities are taking place in the Litten Tree Building, c.300m away:-

9.00 Informal internal tours of the LTB

10.00 Talks in LTB

- The Rover Company and the Meteor Works - Mike Maher, RSR Chairman

- Tom Commander talks about his grandfather's role in Rover before WW2

- The LTB building and the surroundings - Mark Cook, local historian

11.00 Short walking tour of LTB surroundings, led by Mark and informal internal tours of the LTB
I'm booked into the breakfast meet in Trinity sq, I am assuming this is the same event John? some of the details differ?

Yes, Trinity Square is where the post-WW2 cars are congregating - it's between the Holy Trinity church and the Broadgate shopping precinct.

The Bull Yard and the Litten Tree Building, the original showrooms are a short walk south :D

Wow! The whole event went 'according to plan', with a very good turnout both in Broadgate and at the Litten Tree Building. We were lucky enough to be bathed in sunshine too!

There were about 20 Rovers in Broadgate and many of those were club cars - many thanks to all who got up early to get there in time for the 9am start.

In addition to the BMM's 1907 20HP Tourer, there were 4 wonderful 1930s Rovers brought along by RSR members outside the LTB.

There was a lot of interest from passing pedestrians and the 3 talks inside the LTB attracted an audience of about 40 people, many of whom then went for a tour of the Meteor Works perimeter with Mark Cook who know a lot about the history of the area and the buildings.

More pics to follow :cool

The fascinating talks from inside the Litten Tree Building are now on our YouTube channel.

This is the introduction - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRVNZkyZxc8 - and the others are in the Rover Meteor Works Celebration Event playlist.

Many thanks to Jon Living for editing and Tommy Fingers for providing additional footage
