I do like the sound of that, although I can't see mine winning any competitions on the vehicles merit alone, it'd just be on the toys that I've added, until a respray later this year I will just have to put up with the condition it's in!!!!, anyway, it would be great if we could get other clubs etc involved, it'd more than likely be quite a turnout, and providing the weathers all ok, it should be quite a blast. I'm winding up for the mod-nats already, less than 2 weeks away, and I still have the worry of an MOT :-( to go through, dodgy bottom ball joint, slight blow in exhaust, rear sill needs a bit of work, and christ knows what else........roll on 2012!

I'd say that because of the locality, and cost, I may have to consider the S.f.o.t as I dont think I can get to the Bmc/Bl day this year, so I'l be going Red Icon, will you be thinking of going to S.f.o.t?

Hey guys and gals.

Sorry its been a while, I have posted here and there in other rooms..

My apologies for my absence, I had been distracted by a few things..

Just to let you folks know that I aim to bring my 420 to some of your shows planned for 2012 and look forward to meeting some of you.

I aim to have finished my new project in time for the end of May at the Modified Nationals where the car will be judged on its lighting etc etc.

After May I can then plan events as I was unable to show the car much last year.

I am thinking of making a portfolio for the car, as this may explain the history of the car with photos and the differences the interior has taken on over the years. This way it will be clearer for people to understand who have yet to see the car.

I shall be starting on the car in January as the car is in winter storage at the moment away from prying eyes and the Welsh weather forecasts !

Hope to speak to you .

Hi folks, well, I'm partially through removing 2011's build, I've come across a little dampness in the floor, so hopefully when I remove the carpet I can find it's source. There are a few things I need to give a little attention to, and when I have time i'l post some pics up here and on my site.

Well, the floor insulation was soaking underneath yet dry above!
Haven't really figured out where it's seeping in although I suspect a large rubber washer/seal that was not seated properly in the bulkhead may be to partially blame .

Anyone else experienced dampness in their floor insulation?
Condensation problems?

a few years ago i had the same issue with my turbo coupe. found that a large grommet had fell out about half way down the passenger side bulk head. a small one was half out on the drivers side and last of all water was coming in from the bottom corner on the drivers side of the windscreen where it had started to de laminate.
