*laughing my fat rear end off* so how the hecks it supposed to be cheaper than buyin an s2 elise engine :tongue :cool.... thats £2400 for emerald and the crank.. and getting my hands dirty to save on labour.. not that i'd have anyone else carry out work on my car anyway though :glare
.........annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddd ur engine rebuild kit :tt2, new clutch, full service kit...

Fit a T series if you want reliability with minimum expenditure.
Supposed to be 197 as standard (but are usually 180-190 for a good one).
If you did the work yourself you are looking at less then 1k for the conversion, maybe £500 if you fall on the right donor car.

For that sort of power out of a K series it won't be reliable, and it won't be cheap.

yes.. very good point, i have always considered the whole t-turbo conversion.. its just the finding a decent donor car. i mean theres the obvious 220 gsi.gti turbo... but unless they are in poor condition bodywise.. i would feel bad about breaking one, so could you use a coupe turbo for all the parts? i would want to have arouns £1500 to spend though doing a turbo con... would wanna rebuild the engine with uprated this and that and new coilovers all around etc. so i think i'll just settle for a 1.8vvc. but a turbo conversion is something i do intend to do
