By the looks of the weather down my way and the forecast overnight, I’ll be coming up in my daily drive for a look around!

See you all there.

Earlier in the week Friday’s forecast was to be dry up North and wet Midlands southwards. So I was planning to wash my car after work today. But it’s rained heavily here all day in Yorkshire, and still is at 9pm. Long story short my car isn’t as clean as I wanted it to be…. Anyhow, see you tomorrow!

This is the site plan for POL tomorrow. We're in 15, basically the same location as last year.

It can get a bit damp underfoot so bring waterproof footwear! :laughing2

Entry is via gate 2

Great day today! Large turn out of cars covered by the club (60+), plenty of R8s and 200/25s. Also a small number of 400/45s and quite a few Streetwise!

Good to catch up with people old and new. Nice to see everyone again!

I enjoyed seeing all the cars but my favourite had to be the Henley Blue 214 SLi!

An incredible turn-out in general, and especially our Club. I got into conversation with a member who had driven down from Falkirk and was returning that evening - a round trip of about 650 miles - and I don't think you can get keener than that!!

Difficult to identify what were the outstanding cars as there were literally so many, but I was particularly taken by the 1950 Austin Atlantic, the 1972 Maxi and the still totally original 1928 Harley saloon, for which Heaven forbid anyone ever decides to "restore" it!! Above all though, it was the friendliness of the people and the overall ambience of the meeting which really made the day.

So see you all at the next "outing" on the 14th of next month.

Regards to all,

Stan.

Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday - wasn't it wonderful?!

The weather held up and not many cars got stuck in 'Soggy Bottom', the lowest point of the park very near to where we were. Heaven knows how they finally managed to move the RWD MG ZT260 which was well dug in... :laughing2

As you'll see in the pics, we had 2 long lines of cars stretching out into the distance. There were about 60 there, plus 20'ish Coupes next door and many other peppered around the show ground, so maybe 100 in total!

If you've not been to POL yet, do try to make it in the future, as it's unlike any other on the calendar :cool

Made it up but had to park away up the hill.
Interesting show though.
