As with everything on these cars, it’s all down to price.

We are hoping to have these panels available on our stand at the Classic Motor Show in Nov :D

Rear 3/4 wing repair panel is roughly trapizoidal, from just behind the door shut return and incorporates the wheelbox return flange. It is c.530mm long and a c.450mm high to the joggled hidden joint line under the rub strip.

The 1/4 Sill Repair (includes return flange into wheelbox) is c.420mm long, the 1/2 Sill Repair (includes return flange into wheelbox) is c.870mm long and the unflanged Sill Section c.885mm long.

Prices to be confirmed shortly.

Some photo's would come in handy John, I'm interested because I intend to renovate my 3 door GTi, however my 214Si project needs the windscreen out for some roof line corrosion to be dealt with, so need money for that.

Do we have any ball park prices, or is this dependant on take up? :)

This probably isn't the pic needed but we'll post those when the parts are off the press. It's from our imminent press release.

We'll hopefully confirm prices at the end of the week. Steel prices continue to rise unfortunately...

Do you have any close up photos of the profile. I’m only asking as I need an offside sill for the 216 GSi. Using a magnet to test, there’s clearly been quite a lot of filler used, and it would be useful if it extends into the door recess.

This is the rear 3/4 overlaid on the sample

and this is it with the longer sill profile

We didn't take either into the door opening due to complexity and hence cost.

Thank for that John. I'll have to have another look, but I think that should work.

In a rather embarrassing turn of events, we have just realised that the sill repair panels we've had on sale for over a year aren't compatible with the Cabriolet sill profile, as Cabriolets have a deeper sill profile than the other R8 derivatives :blushing

We did know this but managed to forget it, and it's only now that somebody has tried to fit one to a Cabby that we've remembered :*laughs*

We are now investigating tooling a Cabby-specific sill profile so watch this space.

If you've bought any sill section, intending to use them on a Cabriolet but haven't yet, you might want to PM me so we can discuss next steps.

The rear 3/4 panel panels do still fit Cabriolets though!
