Looks ok to me, although you would need to re-use the external lever part from your 25 because the 45 and ZS have a hydraulic system instead of a clutch cable.
Only problem I can see is that they are out of stock and may remain that way for 4 weeks.

But certainly work contacting as it is the right part?
A four week wait is not at all desirable but unless there is another that can be sourced, there is little choice.

Seem to be hitting a brick wall searching with those Ford part numbers.
Could go for the £75 used part on ebay but concerned how worn it might be.

Got the option of this..
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126223133828 ... name=11051
It has the clutch release fork with it but they won't split so need to be certain it is the right gearbox and will definitely cure the problem.

Re: Clutch Pedal Goes Straight to the Floor
I am quite sure there is no difference between the gearboxes on 25, ZR and Streetwise for any given engine size.
I see that the eBay gearbox has the part number TRC000420 on it. Does your old gearbox still have a label on it and if so, does the part number match?
I have also seen some TRC000380 gearboxes for sale, also described as fitting the 1.4. The difference seems to be in the final drive ratio.

Re: Clutch Pedal Goes Straight to the Floor
I was planning to make a visit to the garage to have a look so will look to check that when I am there.
I need to be certain as will have to get it delivered directly to the garage as the gearbox weight between 35 and 40kg I believe.
Getting the gearbox should pre-empt the possible problem of them finding there is a problem with that as well.

Just seen this appear on Rimmers

Would this work for the Rover 25?

Re: Clutch Pedal Goes Straight to the Floor
Definitely not, as that part is for the earlier 'R65' gearbox.cybercontroller wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 4:50 pm Just seen this appear on Rimmers

Re: Clutch Pedal Goes Straight to the Floor
Pity. It seems to have only just appeared and got my hopes up.
Another brick wall.
I am heading up to the garage tonight to have a look so can check part numbers and exactly what the problem is with the clutch release fork. All I know at the moment is that it is broken but not where and how.

Re: Clutch Pedal Goes Straight to the Floor
So the trip to the garage was very useful as I now know which parts are needed. The good news is the actual clutch release fork is fine. What are not are the two bushes at each end which are well past their best. So I am hopeful that Rimmers will have them although I do not know that part number.
But surely these would have been used elsewhere, perhaps with the earlier R65 gearbox too.
