Most components are NLA including the manifold to downpipe studs also the SOHC gasket.

DORMAN 674545 or ATP 101276.

Complete kit including everything (even the crush ring gasket to the down pipe) - I have the Dorman one fitted to my restoration. Even includes a nice new heat shield. Has a tapped hole for the O2 sensor and comes with a screw-in brass blanking plug for pre-CAT cars.

Go to rockauto.com and look up CRX from 1988 onwards, expand the exhaust manifold section.

Those kits may also be available on eBay if you type in the part codes above. But RockAuto shipping to the UK is fairly cheap, so it may very well be the cheapest option.

Someone should tell Rimmer Bros to get a few of these into stock.

The brake compensator valve. When it fails, a tell-tale membrane half-way up the 'front'
ruptures and brake fluid weeps. I've had this happen, managed to get a replacement from
a scrappy as new ones were NLA. Tried to get inside the old one, couldn't budge the bolts
holding the halves together. 2 types (R8): ABS and non-ABS.

Maybe there are specialists who could service these? Though the tell-tale membrane would
remain hard to replace.

I’m guessing most of this stuff relates to the SOHC engines rather than the DOHC as I believe from comments made on this forum previously that there is a gpod demand for parts on the SOHC in the US but not the DOHC.

Yep, due to the fact the standard SOHC 1.6 CRX mk.2 was such a huge hit. Rock Auto used to list parts for European cars, then they deleted all of that information a few years ago. I telephoned them and I was just told this was an executive decision "from the top." If you want to find DOHC parts it's a matter of finding a US-sold Honda vehicle (with the correct year of manufacture) that has a D16A8 or A9 engine. Maybe the CRX 1.6i-16 / SE had these engines fitted? But if that's the case you'd see it in the 1988/1989 pars list and you don't.

As you said, it's the popularity of the SOHC engine that is the reason Rock Auto carries a lot of these parts and they're also available from lots of other stockists too.

What we really need is someone from the Honda CRX community to let us know what's available and where for the DOHC A8 or A9 engines.

I originally found those Dorman and ATP parts by searching on the Honda part code for just the manifold. Doing the same thing for the DOHC comes back with nothing, unfortunately.

Flexible Fuel Hose Assy inclusive of ferrules and unions etc.

These will not last for ever and possibly at the 30 year point will be due for replacement irrespective of a visual inspection?

It might also become a specific MOT fail?

I believe Rimmer Bros don't hold any as they're a low demand item.

Have you got a part number or a photo?

Fuel hose is available and union's etc hydraulic repair shops have all and power steering joints as picture
