(SORT OF) UPDATE

Nothing much to report, few more parts acquired, the ECU in order to run an OEM MAP sensor
and a front Strut Brace, asides that the car is still turning green but at least it survived the
winter, just got to wait a few months for the garage to be built and organised then I can give
it a jet wash and park it up in a nice dry place ready to be restored.

MINOR UPDATE

The car is now on all four wheels after being up in the air for over a year on an axel stand, I have given up on
the Turbo Brakes that won't fit as I could get no answers from anyone so I bit the bullet and bought a bargain
set of ZS180 Calipers and they came with as near as makes no difference new Brembo Pads and Discs, former
owner rebuilt and repainted them, they have done less than 1000 miles, made up and the car is back to a
drivable state although it will fail an MOT. :laughing2

"Whats the plan ?"

"Plan ? there ain't no plan !"

Car has been sat that long its turned into a haunted house. :laughing2

Put a battery on and it started fine, left it to get up to temp, fan kicked in, happy days, no more
plans for it yet as it is waiting for the new garage to be built to get it out the weather.

That web is thicker than my quilt. Is there a special Manc spider up there? I'm never clearing out your shed again if it's as big as that web suggests it is. I'd just buy another R8 if I found a web that large in mine, rather than negotiate with the occupant and lose...

I still haven't seen the spider making the home in mine, no doubt it'll nibble my bum when i'm stripping it. :laughing2

FINALLY, A sort of UPDATE !

I now have the donor car for this long drawn out Cabby project. :clapping

It is a ROVER 25 1.6 Impression S, it will not only be a parts bearer for the 3 other 25's in the family fleet
but it will also be offering the following items up for the Cabby.

MEMS3 Wiring Loom (Already have a 1.6 Auto ECU for the Turbo Conversion Map Sensor setup)

Full A/C system, I may replace the Condenser if it is too rough but all the Pipes and Mounts will be converted.

The ABS System, converting to a 1.8 Turbo will need additional braking, ABS seems a good addition when it is wet.

Additional wiring for the Alarm and ABS System.

The Dash and all its trims as I am removing the beige bubble dash and going with a dark interior. (Possibly the only dark late dash Cabby ?)

Plus additional miscellaneous items.
