Re: Oh Dear

Oops.

DVLA no longer hold any details about the car. I can only presume that it's been crushed.

A sad end to a well loved little convertible. Gone before its time 😭

Re: Oh Dear

Yes, Paul. This was my 1982 Rover 216 Cabby.

Gone, but not forgotten.

He was SORNed and MOTd, but insurance was up to them, of course.

Still no response from my voicemail to them about it. They could be away in their horse box with a horse or two.

Oh Dear

oh dear, oh dear. Sold The Nipper on December 22nd to a chap for his wife who was smitten by it. She called it "that marvelous little car". Obviously not as marvelous as she first thought. On the 12 of this month it was towed and seized by West Yorkshire police and dumped at the Vehicle Re...

Beware!

Just been to my local ASDA (corner of Doncaster Road and Aldwark Lane, Rotherham) to do a spot of top up shopping. Since my disabled badge is in the Dodge (flat battery, of course) I parked in general parking. When I came out I noticed that my boot mounted rear camera had been twisted sideways. I co...

Re: Rover 214 in my way.

No probs, Old Bean. Check out the album on PhotoBucket. Unfortunately all those pics are years old. I will be adding a few more shortly to reflect just how badly I've neglected her in the past 2 years. Due to poor health the work to put her back on the road may be beyond me, so I'm putting her up fo...

Re: Official Rover Loose Leaf Wksp Manual

Sadly no official description or diagrams have come to light. By a series of kludges, copies (reversed) of the other side and some serious brute force and ignorance I've got the roof working. It's not pretty, but neither are the wet bits inside the average human!

Rover 214 in my way.

Not mine and not only in my way, but everyone who wants to enter or leave my street (Rotherham S62 6DF). Here's a couple of pics which include the contact details. http://i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac329/Sir-Henry_album/The%20Nipper/R2%202_zpsiin7bweb.jpg http://i912.photobucket.com/albums/ac329/Si...
