Re: Windscreen Wipers Screenwash Question
Hi, my 214 GSi K plate does not have wash wipe. Just a wash. Wipe is manual after a squirt! Dave

Thanks for that. I have emailed them and am awaiting a reply. I understand it's a pain in the rear end to do! Cheers, Dave

Rover 214 headlining
Hi all, I recently had my beloved 214GSi (K plate) valeted professionally. The headlining unfortunately has "sagged" badly! I advised the valeters not to "wet vac" as I know this can cause problems. They tell me it was not "wet vac'd"! Now it's sagging badly can anyone ...

Re: Boot Spoiler
When applying for insurance state "standard car, no modifications" when re-applying or applying to a different Insurance Company. The spoiler is a standard extra fit, not an after market boy racer thing! My 214 GSi is standard WITH a spoiler, 15" alloys & cost of insurance is just...

Re: Boot Spoiler
Surely if the spoiler is standard Rover & an optional extra you shouldn'y pay anymore. I've fitted a standard Rover spoiler to my 214 K plate & insurance company not bothered. It makes no difference how the car performs except more stable at high speeds. Like most we fit the spoiler for the ...

Re: Sudden clutch failure. 416si
Hi, get someone to operate the clutch pedal & see if the clutch fork to the bell housing moves in & out freely. If not its the clutch cable. The most likely problem. Otherwise the centre plate is burnt out but so so unlikely. You would have smelt a "horrible" burning smell, (a bit ...

Re: sld tourer handbrake cables
Hi, when you brake normally does the car pull to one side? If it does then there is a problem with the brakes perhaps needing a service. If you drive at 10-15 mph and pull the handbrake only does the car lurch to one side or even? Try a lock up & see which one locks up. (Make sure it is a safe p...

Re: middle silencer
I really don't feel I should reply to your question! Manufacturers go the extra mile to make exhaust emmisions & exhaust baffling as the optimum for the engine. Why make more noise to gain whatever..unless you're a boy racer! All you do is waste your money & make an annoying noise! Dave
