Re: 🏁 Pride of Longbridge 2026 – Who’s Going? 🏁

I have a spare fob for my car which I’d love to have programmed if possible. I own a part share in a P-scan but never dared programme the key in case it left me stranded! Does the process update the original and spare key or can you just make the spare to match the original? I’ll bring my spare fob...

Re: E5 or E10 fuel?

I use E10 in my VVC Coupe, and id say it has a slightly improved MPG because of it K Series cars (like you cabriolet) will have absolutely no issue with E10. MG Rover designed these cars to run in markets where ethanol is more prevalent. Mexico for example. It stands to reason that the k series and ...

Re: Engine electrical gremlins on R3 200vi

have you checked the earth that bolts to the gearbox. There are two body earth points in the engine bay apart from the bulkhead - on the inner wing, behind the headlights. Power drain could be mems not powering off - maybe the main relay is sticking on - worth swapping the mems relay back (in front ...

Re: reset central locking Rover 25

HI thanks for the reply. Some time ago, the remote control central locking failed, and honestly I couldn't find or necessarily afford to get a new system. So the remote part was bypassed. So no battery in the fob. Indeed, the recent key is not designed for a battery. But it unlocks the drivers door...

Re: reset central locking Rover 25

WE might be able to help you in the Rover Coupe Owners Club, Out of interest, what was done with the alarm system previously? You can post us the 5AS module, and we can recover the EKA code - but we can also programme in replacement fobs.. https://store.rover-coupe.com/services/56-162-lucas-5as-ecu-...

Re: R8 A/C

The only thing you should not really use after being open to air is the dryer - rad should be fine, but you dont really want dirt to have got in (to anything) as it would not do the compressor any good! Dont need to remove the dash to fix the evaoprator (at least, not on facelift cars, but I assume ...

Re: Key fob programming for a Rover 45

ideally yes, the current fob as well as the car.

If car is not mobile, you can bring just the 5AS module (its behind the centre console and the current fob, I have a programming lead that means I can do them off the car.
