Hi there. If there’s a little break through there then the chances are it’ll be thin in the nearby area. I’d suggest a decent mobile welder could work out metal thickness, chop out and weld in a good sized patch to get back to solid metal. I think this is eminently saveable. Tricky bit is finding a local welder!

I’ve repaired other cars with far worse I suspect. If you can then flood the far side with wax it’ll last an age! Matthew
