It was a lovely morning for the drive over to the NEC. The Cabriolet is on our stand and the Coupe, nearby, on the Rover Coupe Owners Club stand.

Many thanks to Jeremy Howson and John Butler - together we built today's stand. The Cabriolet has already generated a lot of interest!

Jeremy does take cleaning very seriously :laughing2

Another busy day ....

Sam, whose 200 this is, and Ruben looked suitably chuffed on getting the headlining replaced. It is now covered in lovely black alcantara, with enough material left over to cover the door cards (Look out for a 'How to' article in the next Viking magazine)

After initial discussions yesterday, a deal was struck today for the Rover 214i Cabriolet. This will result in several hundreds of pounds being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support charity shortly. There are still the nice set of 16" Rover 400 Cosmos alloys, with tyres, and a slightly loud back box removed from this car to sell, which should a bit more - look out for the threads.

Here seller Paul (left) seals the deal with buyer John.

Finally, and perhaps not unconnected with the above, this club surprisingly won the Charitable Endeavours awards at this afternoon's National Car Club Awards.

The surprising part of it was that nobody had told us! We missed the first call and nearly the second too :laughing2

This isn't the first time we've won this award, having won it for the first time in 2021 :cool

It's one of the underlying, but unwritten, principle of this club - give something back but have fun doing it :*laughs*
