Having accidentally thrown the original membrane away, whilst trying to keep the garage tidy
, I have made a few prototypes and am now in a position to purchase some slightly thicker plastic to make the final one.
I have read elsewhere on the forum about using Butyl tape to bond the sheet to the door and a hot air gun to soften the existing rock hard factory applied adhesive.
Has this worked well for anyone and do you use the lowest setting to soften the existing adhesive ? Just looking not to damage the paint or any of the wiring in the door. Don't need any backwards steps at the moment
