my heater goes luke warm when idleing and gets waemer as i drive its not loosing coolant and not overheating ant ideas thanks craig

Are your radiator fans running all the time and over cooling the engine? On a similar note, is the thermostat OK (although if it was stuck open it would normally cool too much when moving).

It's also worth remembering that diesels don't generate as much heat as petrol engines in the first place.
Out in the desert with an old Jeep and a Volvo.

changing themostat today no the fans are not running constant seems to only affect it on wet days
