Hello Guys.

I am delighted to share that I am the new owner of J668 GRP, The white 416 GTI Auto previously owned by Stephen or "Hammond".

Some of you may have seen my pics on the Facebook R8 group but it is with great pleasure I formally introduce myself to the club. My name is Paul and I am an Optometrist by profession working in Clinical Governance.

My Dad owned a Concerto 16i-16 auto in the early 90's and subsequently I have owned 2 16i-16 manual Concertos: i love the concerto. I saw the 416 advertised and fell in love as to me it was special and clearly well looked after. Thank you to "Hammond" for sharing his knowledge when I tracked him down.

When I contacted the dealer, he took my interest as a reason to put the price up, which was very disappointing. Without my knowledge, my husband bought it in secret at the original price, with a new MOT and battery, to be ready for the big surprise reveal! A truly incredible surprise it was!

I am overjoyed and am enjoying every memory it stirs and smile it creates. I am enjoying every fettle to keep it as original as possible.

I look forward to meeting many of you and sharing my little piece of history. I have just paid my membership fee!
