good idea to put the Leather armrest, was it new??

I put an armrest in my 220GSi. And my 216GTi
They're not new - you have to source them from scrapped coupe's or tourer models.
I've got four kicking about in the garage, but three are cloth topped and the other is leather but it's from a beige interior car.

The armrest is not new but the leather is. I've bought it on ebay, i think it came from a deceased Rover

Driver side - RHD
