A little cosmetic update for change since ive got no new parts to fit

finally got round to doing a job thats been bugging me since got the car. It have various rust spots on the drivers door where i would guess its been opened against something and knocking the paint off so thought i would address it now before they become holes....
Took it down to metal to grid out the rust....

Then i put on some rust treatment, a good coating of anti rust primer and a coat of high build primer followed by a flatting off to smooth the surface....

Than the top coat, unfortunately i just used a tin of the Halfords paint so the colour match is a bit off (to light) but im not to worried as its not a show car just glad not to be looking a rust every time get into it

Little update on the 200, not done anything with it for a while now unforgivably but finally got the L/R brake master cylinder on and all the brake pipes made etc. Ive used the Rover reservoir as the L/R unit is to close to the throttle bodies....

Any way back to the R8, made a few changes to been it into line with the regs for the race series i want to run in. The major one is the fact i have to run the factory size wheel from the range so shes finally back on 15" wheels

That being said brings a few good points, looks better and i can set the car lower but the on the negative side means i cant run the big brake kit so im down to ZR160 282mm discs and calipers

Im also going to have to use the 216 GTI wheels (which are heavier than the 17's) because the Turbo wheels rub on the 160 brake caliper carrier. Back on track next month with this set up and stiffer coil springs for a bit of test time to see what happens
