That's a really tidy car, the son has the Metro and the Dad has a Rover Mini when I done the last MOT on them both was any signs of corrosion. My 6 year old son has started Karting and he wants a Metro to race when he's older he says with my engine fitted :laughing

Pleased to report all is well with car feeling comfortable with it now and went on my first long run to a performance car meet yesterday. Was quiet funny pulling in because everyone was looking at the car laughing then looking at the front brakes and asking what engine it had to need brakes of that size :*laughing my fat rear end off* I've also been playing with the rear wheel alignment now have adjustable rear camber and toe Arms....

I changed from -2.5 degrees Camber to -1.5 degrees and the rear toe from -0.5mm to parallel as in the Rover Sport manual for the Tomcat Dunlop race cars but the handling on the rear is now we near as Sharp now :slapme Still dont know till you try a. Next plan is to get to a RWYB event at Santa Pod to get some 1/4 mile times :clapping

Was meant to be running wider sticky 215 15's on the front but the R25 i have at home that i was going to take the calipers and discs off had the most seized brake pipe to flixie union ever so since its been raining heavy here i gave up, didnt fancy cocking up the flixie and brake pipe on that just to try gain 0.1 of a second so just using the R25 185 55 15's on back pumped upto 50 psi and the 205 40 17 Yokos on front set to 22psi. Should be a good day out anyway the other people going with me have....

2.5 Focus ST with the Mountune stage one package (brother)
ST Turbo Fiesta with the factory Mountune package (brothers girlfriend)
ST 150 Fiesta (dad)
106 GTI on throttle bodies/high lift cams
2 litre 16v Toyota Celica
Audi S3

And to make it interesting we have all put £10 in the pot for winner takes all fastest ET :laughing So wish me luck will be taking the Gopro so will have some videos :scared

Obviously i dont have the top end power of the turbo cars but mine is by far the lightest and im hoping the fact i used to race in the Street car challenge at Santa Pod with my Evo will give me the edge :*laughing my fat rear end off*

This has come together all at once and is looking fantastic. You wouldn't think a car with a bright orange engine and white wheels could be considered understated and so very nearly a sleeper, I bet it catches a few folk off guard when they're expecting it to be an OAP chariot.

Thanks mate. Had some idiot at the track today look at the Rover and say "I knows it's a run what you brung event but that's taking the p*ss" even if it was a standard 1.4 never fails to amaze me what people think they can say about others stuff. No doubt he was one of the people who just sits in the crowd picking faults with everyones stuff and drives his mum's car
