bit of pie in the sky tought, but how easy is it?

if its as simple as, then i might just 'chuck' it on :?

Nope it wont sorry. A D16A8 head will not fit on a D16Y7 block. Nice thought though, I considered doing it to my old Coupe. If you can find a whole engine then apparently that is just an easy swap over. A day at the very most.

D15b & D16Z6 sohc VTEC heads will fit. Its a conversion called minime and you can read more about it here: http://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_45390/tm.htm.

Please bear in mind this is only a sohc VTEC head and will only yeild similar power to a D16A8/9 DOHC engine.
