Rover 200 & 400 Owners Club

Hi all
My dad has a S reg Rover 214 in purple. He maintained it well, but since covid it has been parked on my drive with a SORN.
It no longer starts.
Could you give advice on what to do with it, as now I need the drive as I will be living here.
I don’t wish to scrap it as the family have had the car for many years.

Scrap my car will pay £250-£300 that's realistically what you'll get for a non-runner with no MOT anyway

The previous MOT history doesn’t appear to be too bad. Perhaps you could post a few more photos of the exterior and interior, paying particular attention to any defects/corrosion, large or small.

I don’t seem to remember seeing any in that colour for a long time.

It might be of interest to someone as a project. It would be a pity to see it scrapped without assessing its condition.

When you say no longer starts is this just because the battery is flat?

More pictures and how much you want for it unless it is free to a good home would be usefully

3dr or 5dr?

It will be a flat battery and maybe tyres. It was last driven end of 2019 when my dad was taken to hospital
It is a 3 door. I cant seem to open it with the key, will give it a wash and climb in through rear boot door. It’s clean inside.
