Revs for to long when cold
My 92 cabriolet (Honda engine) 1.6 Keeps its revs to 2000 when its cold for ages at least 5mins is this right? This also happens when i start after leaving it for around 3hours im guessing its the choke but should it stay on this long? also sometimes smells like pure petrol Dan

Late K series are prone to manifold leaks as they had the plastic inlet manifold
Late K series with the plastic throttle body are prone to the throttle sticking open also
T series are prone to coolant temp sensor faults which give incorrect choke operation.
The honda engines aren't prone to it I believe, but I think they use an air valve to control idle speed rather than a stepper motor like the T and early K series did. If this sticks open you'll get the same sort of problem.
