Leather

Post by 214cab »

Got myself a nice leather interior on the way..... Drivers seat has some wear but the others look immaculate, all for the bargain price of £80.00.

Just need to get round to sorting my electric windows out before i can fit the front cards. Oh and find some spare time to swap it all over.

That price includes 200+ mile delivery too!

Just so happened the seller had a mate who travels down regularly to Portsmouth (about 30 miles from me), he is coming the extra miles to deliver it to me on Sunday! :clapping

If it makes you feel any better i'm not that jammy, just went to put the cabby up on ramps to take a look underneath as got a strange noise at low revs.

The good news is its not the engine, the bad news is i could'nt get the f***ing thing onto the ramps as the clutch seems to be going! Was smoking like a good'un!

Managed to isolate the noise to the flexible joint on the front exhaust pipe so two jobs to add to my todo list!

Sweet, the leather has arrived. Needs a clean but looks in very good nick for the price!

Probably got a half day in the week so i'll get the seats in.

Seats are in, just need an all round clean.

The drivers one is going to need some filling / repair as some of the cracks and wear are too much to polish and condition out.

Only downside is i had to remove my newly fitted centre armrest, as the seats are from an early cabby (like mine) that did'nt have a armrest, and the back adjustments are in the centre and foul on the armrest. :slapme

Need to get rid of my manual windows before i can fit the matching door cards. Piccies soon...

thought all r8 seats had the same adjustment through out the years. i know the bubble 200 are a bit tight on the adjusters when an arm rest is fitted but never known anyone to have issues with the r8. all coupes had arm rests, even early ones so you should'nt have problems. have you fitted them on the right sides?
