Thanks for that Teddy, I think I will get a mobile mechanic in. When you mention engine mounts and supporting the engine, etc, that’s beyond me. You have saved me problems so thank you mate

Hi everyone I’m about to tackle my first ever timing belt and water pump change on my 216 SLI - Honda SOHC engine. Any tips for a novice to avoid problems and are there any special tools I need ?

My 216 failed its MOT on corroded power steering pipe and replacements are now NLA. Ive had the idea to replace with high pressure rubber hose. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

I cant even get at them to check. MOT Garage is very trustworthy and told me the pipes crumbled. I will ask them about making some up for me .

Hi I am Neil, a new member to your club. Thank you for letting me join. I love R8's and have 1995 216SLI. Its been off the road for a few years, failed its MOT on rusted power steering pipes. Can anyone advise me where to get replacement pipes ?

The alarm on my 216 auto is set but I cant turn it off using my key fob, and the red light on the dash stays illuminated. I can access the car using the manual key but of course it just sets the alarm off.

Please help guys ! what can i do to fix it or disable the alarm ?
