Re: What are these wires and how easy to fix?
Yep, the sensors are just a standard temp sensor, and should be available from all good factors, and accessory shops, hell even hellfrauds should carry them.

Re: What are these wires and how easy to fix?
They're both temperature sensors. The brown twin connector is to the ECU to control fueling etc, the single, bullet type connector is for the gauge. Providing they're both making a connection, I'd not worry too much about looks, and your wouldn't be the first or the last one cable tied on! You may b...

Re: Leather
It's a pity you have tilters, as the back rests are swappable from side to side, but doing that would then put your release handle on the inner side. It's one bonus of 4/5 doors! You should however be able to swap the leather and fabric covers over between the backrests so you have the leather cover...

Re: Strange noise coming from Alternator and help required.
The only thing you'll have to do from underneath is loosen and tighten the adjuster, but you should be able to do that without jacking it up or removing the wheel, socket, extension bar and ratchet and an outstretched arm usually suffices, obviously if it were up in the air you'd have a bit more roo...

Re: Strange noise coming from Alternator and help required.
After doing so many it becomes easy, if you were closer I'd come help, but it's a good 6-7 hour trip :( Best bit of advice I can offer is this, take your time, don't rush, if you struggle, stop, walk away have a brew etc and return a bit later, it always seems to come undone/slip back into place then.

Re: Strange noise coming from Alternator and help required.
You don't have to go from underneath, spanner will go in from the top, just slightly more room to get leverage on spanner from the underside. Just mind your knuckles when the bolt lets go! :wink3 If it's tight to get onto the spanner, some scaffold pole slipped over top helps with leverage, as does ...
