Apologies for late response...yes it's the passenger footwell behind the drivers seat. When the heavens open up there is a pool of water sitting there once the carpet cannot soak up anymore water. Everything's dry under the rear seat when its pulled up. The door cards are dry also.

I will take up the suggestion and have the screen checked. The screen was replaced after a stone chip a couple of years ago, the technician gave me his number as he was impressed by the condition of the car. When he arrived and saw the car he was beaming😁 first thing he did was get on to his mate and told him what he was looking at. Anyways I shall give him a call.

Cheers for all the advice.

Be safe
So - just to reiterate - as it is the rear footwell, I'd suggest having the rear sixth-light (triangular glass piece) checked for bonding problems. That's really the only glass in the vicinity that could be causing this. It's unlikely to be a windscreen de-bond, as this normally causes a leak in the front footwell. Plus, there's a raised box section in the floor which the front seats bolt into, so the likelihood of water making it from the front footwell to the rear one is pretty small, not withstanding the concept of a "wicking effect" where a dry carpet will soak up water and spread it out, possibly making it to the rear footwell. Personally I'd be thinking rear sixth-light glass myself in your case.
