First Outing for 2 Years

Post by Kriss707 »

Father in Law & I took our Cabbies out today.
Nothing unusual there until when talking we realised it was 22 months since we last took them out (except to the M.o.T station).
September 2019 was the last time we took the cars to a show.
How time flies :laughing2 :laughing2

You should use them more often!

Did they pass the silver cabby whilst carrying the reg plate with italics?!

Hopefully now the Covid issues are starting to lessen we will get to use them more, hopefully the shows will start again proper next year.

Yes, the tester said they're not the official font, but they're clearly readable & he didn't have an issue with them. However the same font on the Wife's Megane Coupe picked us up a £100 fine, I think it was more a case of a little man in a powerful position tbh :D over the last 6 years I've had many a Police vehicle follow me with nothing said. I do carry standard plates with me at all times, just incase. Sorry officer I've just been to a car show I will change them right now :angel

Interesting stuff :)

I think a lot of Police have more exciting things to deal with :D

Both cabbies have rear spoilers. Apart from looking good do they enhance performance?

Technically a rear spoiler on a FWD car does help with weight transfer during high speed cornering, helping to keep the rear from sliding. Both cars handle very well at speed, on private roads of course :angel

The Silver is a Honda Civic spoiler with integral Led brake light.
The Turquoise is a Rover 400 spoiler.
Both fit perfectly on the boot lid.
