In the past when I've fitted new rams I have undone the the t handle on side of pump half a turn and lifted the hood manually ( better with two ) to 3/4 up position and moved the hood by hand back and forth not all the way down just short movements until I can feel resistance then closed the t handle and then used the switch to fully up and down , THIS NOT A ROVER PROCEDURE ITS JUST WHAT I HAVE FOIND WORKS FOR ME . Hope that helpful .

If thats all it was I don't think rams will be empty shouldn't take much to get it moving with the pump :D

From your username, you wouldn't be a mate of Bob Mortimer would you?
Or am I thinking of SoftTop Steve?

Got the pump bled today as suggested by 961tat lifting up and down manually, everything worked to plan , just couple of the brackets that hold head liner were seized and not turning on the round bar also broke couple of the we screws but going to put rivet in them 2 but at least they are all nice and free now.
