under 10 pounds to solve head gasket gone problem

Post by deanatelly »

hi to anyone that has had a head gasket go.i had a 416 rover which had the smoke coming out the eshaust etc.got aa who diagnosed head gasket gone.someone told me about a product called WYNNES REPAIR cant recall what other bit was but know it doesnt recommend to be used on head gasket problems.think its something gasket repair.anyway it cost around a tenner but as i really couldnt afford to have gasket repaired i thought i may as well try it as last resort.

so after i finally removed the thermostat which is what is required to pour the liquid directly into the engine i poured it in replaced all the bits then warmed up the engine as directions told me to do.

so car running and the smoke was just getting embarrasingly high and polluting the entire street.so dis heartened and thought bloody waste of money.went indoors.however the next day i had to move my car so it started as it always did(which was straight away)

began to drive into another parking spot and thought how weird its not smoking.so really gave it some revs checked my water etc and realised the stuff had worked.

now it says on the bottle no good for head gasket ill try to find out what its really called but can give you 100% guarantee that in my case the stuff actually worked and car went on and on for ages.til i ended up hitting a cast iron bollard which is a whole new story haha.

i have a 216 cabriolet now and really love it.although it was dirt cheap i feel really posh as if i actually have something now.i mean its probably junk compared to most folks but it does have cream lerather seats haha.would love to get the power hood option if anyone is flogging one as christmas is coming and i can get santa mum to hopefully get me one *laughs*
BEST OF LUCK IF YOU TRY IT DONT NAG ME IF IT DOESNT BUT FOR AROUND A TENNER IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAR ITS WELL WORTH IT !!!

p.s. im not selling the stuff for wynnes either just a mere bit of help to those that like me hasnt a pot to pee in haha

Hi again, have bought some K-seal and put into cooling system as per instructions, seems to have done the trick !! :D

Top Tip for removing thermostat, remove the brake oil container ,you can leave all brake pipes connected and just lift it clear slightly, this greatly increases your ability to reach thermostat housing.
