Hi,
Just managed to trace the water gathering in the boot to one of the tail lights.
If I was to use clear silicone sealant would that work and do I need to re-use the faom surround seal again or not ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Leaking rear tail lights
Clear silicone is fine. I would use the gasket too and silicone both sides.

Re: Leaking rear tail lights
Exactly what I've done with mine.
Silicone the foam seal onto the light unit (you'll see the mark pressed into the foam.
Then silicone the back of the foam in the same place so that you effectively seal the unit to the car when you replace it and nip the nuts up.

I had the same on my 214. I cured by simply adding another foam gasket and it was cured 100&
