418 sld power steering pump
Hi all, can anyone mail me info on adjusting the power steering pump on my 418 sld (pug xud engine td) please? Got the rave manual but can't find xud supplement on it, got the pug 1.7 and 1.9 xud manual and almost everything is different. Replaced the belt a while ago but cannot for the life of me r...

418 sld getting hot
Hi all, my trusty 418sld (1769 td) is acting odd and I thought I'd ask the experts as it has me baffled. Basically under normal running the temperature is fine, once you go up hill the temp rises and the fan cuts in. I put a new waterpump on it a few months ago and have recently flushed the rad thro...

Re: anti rollbar bushes
Hi, just found a note in a manual claiming they are 23mm on the diesels, sure I measured them at 19mm - then I didn't have anything accurate to measure with. Rimmer bros also claim they are 23mm. The ol vernier will have to look at em, I don't have a micrometer..

anti rollbar bushes
Hi all, looking at changing the anti rollbar bushes on my 418 sld tourer to polyflex ones, anyone used these and are they any good? Anyone know if I need 19mm or 23mm on the front roll bar? 1994 model 1.8 td tourer.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: 418 sld tourer brake judder
update on brake judder. Turns out the new discs were indeed warped, I'd kept the older pair (almost new) and put em back on - job done. New discs being returned to Unipart! Had the alignment checked and that was so near perfect it wasn't worth touching. New discs, can't trust em to be good - from th...

Re: 418 sld tourer brake judder
Mmm, interesting stuff, guess it would be wise to have it done and now that you mention it I had the rear radius arm bushes replaced and I am sure they didn't check the alignment. The tyres are almost new, I have checked those and all seems fine. There's a good place up the road with a carlos fandan...

Re: 418 sld tourer brake judder
Hi all, well I finally got to look at my 418, removed the discs, cleaned the hibs until spotless, cleaned the rear of the discs and wheels -still shaking it's head off under braking. What I forgot to mention as well was that I feel like a wobble when turning the steering. The only way I can explain ...

Re: 418 sld tourer brake judder
Hi mate, thanks for your reply. The flanges were not shiney clean but I could not see any flakes or bits on them - I have just read an article which advises to get them back to shiney metal. The discs are only a few months old and are the second set in two years. I would guess that the damage has be...
