I’ve made some progress. The fuse for central locking had gone, replaced that and now it’s turns over, no fuel pump prime though so I think
The fuel pump has died. That’s my next job. Then hopefully it will run.

Well the next problem for my Gsi turbo, when I took the battery off to find the over boost fault, when I reconnected it the car would not start, alarm light stopped flashing, could hear the fuel pump prime but when I turned the key nothing! Not even a click! So I bumped started it and it ran, so tha...

Sorted the problem, was the pipe that goes to the boost controller had come off, all back to normal now.
