Re: 1994 Rover 414Sli
Well, it's gone. My housemate has taken it on. I've not used it for the last three months and not wanted to because I've had the Princess to pootle about in. It's no fault of the Rover, it's a very good car and I don't regret my time with it at all, but we definitely got to a point where we needed t...

Re: The Old Lady
Yes. One of the inner chrome bits is a fog (red bulb), the other is the reverse. It works really well.
Here's a cold start video. Okay so it wasn't Big Coat cold, but there was snow, so it's close enough.

Re: 1994 Rover 414Sli
I've been doing a lot of thinking since I put the Rover up for sale a few weeks ago and have come to the conclusion that I'd definitely regret selling it. My heart wasn't really in selling it, I just thought I was being a grown up and rationalising the fleet until I looked at the costs and found tha...

Re: The Old Lady
Yup! A few bits to attend to before the MoT next month and it'll be in action alongside the Princess. Now just to wait for the Rover to sell so I can crack on with Stuff. I'm definitely going to miss the Rover when it's gone but I'm very glad I owned it for a few years, definitely a car that's left ...

Re: What are your Plans and Projects for 2019 ??
I'll be sorting the leak when I get it home, which Mike and I will be doing tomorrow with a flatbed truck. It needs a few bits and bobs, as is to be expected. It's the Rover's replacement, because buying a broken Citroen with five minutes MoT is the best option when you've got a totally reliable car...

Re: The Old Lady
Another big update for you then, since I've been lax updating here. After the failure of the condenser, I bought and fitted an Accuspark Stealth electronic ignition kit. Really good instructions, very easy to fit. http://img.retro-rides.org/i/v/vulgalour/0a12754df0ee.jpg Since fitting this, my urban...

Re: What's it worth (sorry)
I haven't done many miles in the Rover since starting the experiment. http://img.retro-rides.org/i/v/vulgalour/2c1a07f7bdb2.jpg Three miles. I've done three miles since starting the experiment five weeks ago and those were to go and get some fuel in it. So the end of week five I took the Rover on a ...

Re: The Old Lady
Rear screen refitted with Mk1 stainless trim rather than the Mk2 plastic insert. Difficult to fit the trim too, I can see why they switched to the plastic stuff later. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1904/30403954967_e5e68ece5f_b.jpg New rear lights are nice and bright. 1964 Galaxie, if you wonder wh...

Re: The Old Lady
A lot has happened since the last update. After the trip to the seaside* I fitted my spare second-hand timing belt tensioner pulley. It too is a bit noisey but nowhere near as bad as the one it replaces. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/937/29060690277_1ebb4846ed_b.jpg Been spotted several times and p...
