Rover 45 heater always warm
Hey everyone! Got a bit of a head scratcher. I've got a facelift 2005 Rover 45 with a heater (not the digital one) that's always lukewarm when on the cold setting. On the hot setting, the heater is red hot. Just when turned to the cold, it's not quite cold, I can feel a bit of heat coming through. I...

Re: 216 GSI Auto Project
I've not posted much on this project in a while - there's been lots of progress and now it's pretty much finished :) Since the last post, i've done the aux belts, sorted the headlining, replaced the brake calipers, fixed the leaky gaskets around the spark plug wells, fixed a coolant leak and a now i...

Re: Thinking tyres and tools
I've been using Halfords "professional" brand tools for years - can't fault them for the price. I've done nearly all of my jobs on my 216 with a socket set, a spanner set and a torque wrench. R8's use metric rather than imperial. There's lots of ways to get some extra money off them too, i...

Re: 216 GSI Auto Project
Some more updates on the least interesting 216 project in the world :laughing2 First job, replace the cam cover and spark plug oil seals. Also replace the sheared bolt from the right hand cam cover and put the earth connector back where it belongs. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3feyl6XCS...

Re: Oily spark plugs
Cheers for the reply! I'll get a set ordered and have a go at swapping them out. My initial thought was that it might have been piston rings or valve seals :mouthshut Craig is spot on with the seals - 4 of them that sit in the cam cover and seal the aluminium flutes that rise up around the spark pl...
