Re: Overheating - not HG
Both good shouts. The cambelt was changed during the winter along with the thermostat and water pump (so pump or stat could be the problem). I hardly used the car last year so not much history to go on. Next thing I’m going to try is remove the rad, and as many hoses as I can and flush through with ...

Overheating - not HG
This is a new one on me, but perhaps it’s something you all can help me with. 1996, 216 Kseries. Starts first time. Runs sweetly. Temperature gauge appears to work fine, and doesn’t indicate any sort of overheating issue. Nothing really amiss….except. On tickover, or in start-stop traffic, the water...

Re: Two small(ish) issues
I couldn't see any discount code.
That said I’ve sent my clock off to get it fixed anyway. Hoping that if there is a discount for club members they’ll give it to me.
BTW I’ve also bought and fitted a resistor for the tan speed control. Works fine. Thanks to those of you who sent me the info.

Re: SIMPLY BRITISH CLASSICS - September 24th 2023
Hey Plodder.
Keep in touch - I’ve also got it in the diary.
Beaulieu meets are usually quite good. I have a Suzuki X90 that I take to their ‘Simply Japanese’ meet as well.

Two small(ish) issues
I’m looking for two small parts that are apparently common problem areas - on P reg 216
1 - refurbished clock
2 - heater motor fan only works at high speeds. What part do I need and where can I get it?

I’m going anyway. If any other Southerners are interested we could arrange to meet up beforehand and form a marque group if not an official club presence.

Electric aerial
Anyone got an original electric aerial for a ‘96 cabrio for sale. There are plenty of Chinese options on Amazon, but is there an unbent original anywhere???

Re: Another new member
Thanks for the welcome folks. Do any of you live in along the South coast?
I was wondering if the club could have a presence at the Best of British meet at Beaulieu later in the year.

Another new member
Hi all - new member here. After selling my previous Honda engined model a number of years ago I’ve done it again and bought one of the increasingly rare R8 Cabrios. This one has a K series engine, but not too worried - I had an MGF for some time and other than one head gasket it was fine. Need to do...
