Re: Rover 200 with T Series engine
Will it physically fit and does your car use the sensor in the current radiator (Some cars had blanks fitted with the sensors were - or even sensors with no wires attached!). I'd be tempted to take your rad to a local place and see if they'll re-core it as that is usually (but not always!) cheaper t...

Re: The 'K series' engine says it all about Rover
Also worth pointing out that the main reason the head gasket fails is that the coolant is run low allowing it to overheat badly. The small coolant capacity of the K series engine (one of its good and bad points), means that any coolant loss can be serious. If you keep on top of the coolant system th...

Re: 'Ultimate' gasket and bolts
The gasket should sit on top of the liners as that is how it seals. https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7479/26918381470_a34dab2c13_o.jpg 20160521_121652 by E_T_V , on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7719/26918383060_572ffa0f81_o.jpg 20160521_121624 by E_T_V , on Flickr The photos are of a 1.8 so you...

Re: Sagging Headlining
You need the high temperature stuff (otherwise it'll droop in hot weather). Otherwise yes it is contact adhesive.
I'd HIGHLY recommend doing it outside of the car as any glue overspray or drips will ruin the car interior.

Re: Fuel consumption. Thirsty?
That is under 30mpg so on the low side. I've had much better from my 2.0 turbo.
The coolant temperature sensor is a common fault so worth checking.

Re: 'Ultimate' gasket and bolts
Matt is helpful and I've used stuff from him before including some stuff on my last K series rebuild. But beware the new SAIC gasket is still a MLS one and if liners are low or uneven then it'll leak. If liners are even and proud by 4 thou then MLS is the one to use (either a branded one or the one ...
