So you'll all know that I bought the Tourer that was advertised recently on the FS thread, I've finally got round to taking some pics......

Now the pics make it look stunning and it is a nice looking car, but up close it's had some fairly poor paint repair on both rear quarters and one front wing, its colour matched well but has a very orange peel effect :sad

It is clear that the previous owner loved it though, I have every single invoice from its first service on the 20th January 1999, through to the repair mentioned in the advert that totalled £660.50 in September 2016. That repair was to remove the head and have it skimmed, new cambelt, gaskets, head bolts and other service items! It also had 4 new Pirelli Cinturato tyres in March 2016 totalling £336 and new front to rear Brake pipes and other work in Jan 16 totalling £481.

The invoices I have total £7519.82.

I have cleaned her including claying and polish, replaced the headlamp bulbs with upgraded ones so that I can actually see at night, replaced the rear wiper blade and the side indicator repeaters which were loose.

I'm going to be honest I'm not a fan of the R3 style dash over the original R8 one and I think it's going to take some time for me to really grow to like the car........

Oh.......and to make space for it, I ended up letting the SEi go to a new member on here and I'll leave them to introduce that themselves :)

So now I intend to keep the '90 416 GSi..........so 1234dist I'll be in touch about those alloys you have :)

I went for Philips White Vision which supposedly provide 60% more light and are only £13.99 at Eurocarparts at the moment.

I know a lot of other people opt for Osram Nightbreakers which are a bit more expensive at £20.99.

They have made a considerable difference, I'd recommend changing them. :)
