Hiya
I am replacing my hood on cabby 216, K reg... The metal plate that holds it in place along the back, which invariably rusts needs either replacing or some work on it. It's not terribly bad, just at the corners and the most of it is sound
Firstly, does anyone know the correct term for this part ?
Secondly, anyone know where i can either get another "good" one or where to go to get it mended ?
Many thanks
Diane

Re: replacing my hood
No idea what its called but you will need for it to be fabricated.

Is it on this page:

If not, have a look around under the bodyshell section (lick the link that reads "Home > Rover Parts > Rover 200 Coupe/Cabriolet & 400 Tourer > Rover 200 Coupe/Cabriolet & 400 Tourer Bodyshell" above the diagram. You can also go up a level and look at the hood pages (if you can find them).
It'll be somewhere. Once you have a part code, you might be able to get one either new or have someone take one off a scrap vehicle. If not, as Dist said, it needs to be fabricated from sheet metal by someone competent enough to do it. t's a panel beater / fabricator your looking for - your local body shop might have someone who can do this, but it is a bit specialised.
