Bitcoins - your thoughts

Post by RoverRevival »

I can't help but feel there is a catastrophe on the horizon with bitcoins being openly used by cyber criminals ect. Whats to think that its not owned/run by cyber criminals who will eventually run off with everything.

Or is it just me :S

Let's face it. There are 1,100 crypto currencies in circulation. The scam is that the inventors mine themselves a nice pot of coins and then publicise their infallibility because of the wonderful breakthrough - the block chain.

They then state it's a "proper currency" which can't be inflated by central banks. It therefore behaves like a commodity - limited availability, near-infinite amount of money from people with more of it than sense.

Price goes up because it's a "store of value" and "a sign of the devaluation of the dollar/pound/euro, etc."

Price bubbles to extremes because of me-too sheep-like investor behaviour.

Inventors sell their original pot of "experimental" first coins and get very rich, in real dollars.

Price collapses. Job done.

The sheer amount of bitcoin spam I get in my inbox leads me to believe it's a scam of Nigerian proportions.

All I know about Bitcoin is that is what criminals and other scumbags use it as currency on the dark web
to buy child porn, guns and drugs.
