Tow bar question
Tow bar question
Does anyone know if a tow bar from a R8 200 series hatchback would fit a coupe, I think that the attachment points would be the same but not sure if the different rear bumper used on the coupe would clash with it.

Re: Tow bar question
Yes it will fit but you will have to hack up the rear bumper.
Re: Tow bar question
Thanks for reply, was there a tow bar made for the coupe that dose not require cutting the bumper?

they did but they are rarer than the days that i have a good hair day.
Just to put that into perspective, i've seen one in 18 years.

Re: Tow bar question
The standard Rover towbar on our cabrio has a detachable neck - I assume that the one for the coupe will. I wonder if a replacement neck can be found (or custom built) to fit the main bar and thus clear the bumper.

Re: Tow bar question
There are a few companies out there that will make custom tow bars for you, including detachable ones that don't spoil the look of the car when you're not towing. They're not cheap, but they won't ever say they can't make one for you.
