Hi All,
New to the group but just wanted some advice really..have recently picked up a rover tomcat turbo, looking to get some work done to it in the next few weeks, here's what I was thinking of but any suggestions for what could get more bhp but also not putting to much pressure on engine box etc
- has already been lowered all around poly bushes etc
- already has dump valve, k&n filter
- exhaust also already done
Thinking of doing the following:
- redoing exhaust from front to middle taking out the resonator & decating, should make it less restricted
- have a boost actuator valve to run it on 1.0 or 1.2 psi
- upgrade breaks n discs drilled & grooved
- redo the piping & relocate the k&n for better air supply
- upgrade spark plugs
- thinking of a remap
- need to add boost gauge and oil pressure gauge
Any other suggestions or better suggestions??
Sorry would add pics but not sure how to do it

Just decat it, no point messng about £35
- have a boost actuator valve to run it on 1.0 or 1.2 psi
Be careful upping the boost, a tiny bit is fine but on standard internals and 25 year old engine is risky
- upgrade breaks n discs drilled & grooved
Unless you are going big dont bother. I run 326mm discs and brembo calipers
- redo the piping & relocate the k&n for better air supply
Standard air box better or proper stainless shield around box
- upgrade spark plugs
Service it
- thinking of a remap
Cant do it anyone who says they can is being dishonest
- need to add boost gauge and oil pressure gauge

Re: Rover 220 coupe turbo
Upgraded brakes may mean the standard 15''alloys will not fit
Re: Rover 220 coupe turbo
282s from zr 160 zs 180 620 ti fit under the 15s

Re: Rover 220 coupe turbo
Not without 5mm wheel spacers if you have standard Turbo alloys
