Hi Everyone
My Good mate and friend of the club Craig Cheetham has had his 1989 Rover 214 Stolen
Last seen in Chatteris on 22 Nov 2020
Flame Red Rover 214 REG G899UYP
If you spot it please ring 999 and PM Me please

Not a good sign for us all if they are doing that , escorts etc can understand or are part getting hard to find :sneaky i dont think so , will be very hard to move on as a complete car hope this gets found quickly :sad

Has to be either joyriders or banger racers, I would think.

Sadly, early R8s have no better security than many other cars of the 1980s :sad

Craig found that His Volvo 760 Estate has been stolen too
If anyone sees A blue volvo 760 Estate F723FEC call the police

Must say when I saw this on FB I thought seems 2 strange cars to take for chancers I'm guessing maybe look for interested parties

And the cars are so rare now, what are they going to do with it? Sell it on at some point? Even on the early cars the VIN and associated IDs are in several places, then there's the engine number and security etched glass. All tied in with the DVLA's original registration records generated by Rover. Won't all this stick out like a sore thumb?

I think everyone will know what to look for if one of these ever comes up for sale again...

My cars been on the drive the last few weeks as the locks on my council lock up garage broke and I couldn't get into it.

So worried it might get taken for spares I took the distributor, ignition leads and battery off and tied a wheelie bin to the back.
Hope was it might slow anyone down and create as much noise as possible. Left them a note inside to go away in polite terms( not that it would have made any difference )
