Headlight Washers not working

Post by Topcat Tomcat »

The Headlight washers on the 45 aren't working. Given that the pump/pumps are working, I assume the pipes are blocked......or am I missing something?

If the pump runs, it's probably a build up of gunk/mildew/horrible cack in the washer fluid reservoir blocking the pickup.

It'll be a case of removing at least the pump and flushing the reservoir out with hot, soapy water-it's a lot easier if you remove the reservoir from the car.

The easiest way to clean the pipes/tubes is to blow through with an airline if you have access to a compressor 😁

Thanks. I'll have a go at that then.

I'm told that I produce more than my fair share of hot air, but I don't think that it would be in sufficient quantities to make any difference! 😚
