SRS light
SRS light
SRS airbag light is staying on after start up on my 96 cabriolet, looked on you tube and all later rovers seem to be an easy fix by cleaning the yellow connector under the seat but alas my car doesn’t have any so any ideas where to start please??
Re: SRS light
Try checking the SRS Fuse. The warning lamp will also stay on if the fuse is blown/removed.

Re: SRS light
cut the yellow connector off and replace it with bullet connectors.

Re: SRS light
Pretensioners on the R8 are mechanically-activated (some kind of ratchet action, I believe) and there is no electrical connection to it.
I don't know if this changed with the very late cars (with the R3 dash).

Re: SRS light
as above - mechanical pretensioners on this, so no connectors under seats.
Im 95% certain it will be the rotary coupler on the steering wheel. cheap and easy to change
Although - I have just fixed a car that it was the Airbag ECU had gone faulty. Never seen or heard of that before!

Re: SRS light
The tensioner doesn’t plug into anything so I’m assuming it’s mechanical like the ones on the old corsa
Re: SRS light
No it’s still the same on mine and it has the later dash thanks220 GSi turbo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 9:34 pmPretensioners on the R8 are mechanically-activated (some kind of ratchet action, I believe) and there is no electrical connection to it.
