Yey me!!

I've got a 'box for my coupe off ebay.
£30 for a 214 SEi 'box, done 85k. Bargain!

After 3 weeks without my car I can finally get back on the road soon.

Sorry to put a downer on your glee, but 214s use a completely different gearbox from the rest of the R8s, a pretty poor Peugeot one.

Yeah. the 1.4s use Peugeot R65 gearboxes, yours should be a PG1 type gearbox (PG1s are "Honda derived" gearboxes)

That's weird though because the casings are exactly the same on
my coupe and the old 414SLi I just sold, and I mean EXACTLY.

Are you guys sure of this :?:

The 214 does use a Pug/Citreon BX derived R65 gearbox.
Worst part of the entire car if you ask me.
