Looking to replace mine before the front one fails it's MOT.

Yellow rear & white front with raised black letters= £110.00 + fittings

Font is 1970 to 2001 is this right and is that a fair price?

At that price, I would be expecting gold plating at the rear and silver at the front!

Are these plates going to be the Perspex type, or pressed aluminium? The pre 2001 font is definitely the one to go for
It may not be easy to get hold of plates with the old font and the 'BS' mark, but I have never known an MoT tester be that picky, unless the plates have other issues (e.g. honeycomb background, italic font etc)

I have heard that there is somebody who does replica main dealer plates on Facebook too.

There’s a guy on Instagram called Retro Plates who will a lot cheaper than that.

Thanks for the replies guys, I' looking else where plastic with raised Alpha numerics in the correct font look to be around 40 so may well go with those although I will look at that website too Paul thanks!
