Any advice, experiences, please..
K series vvc, sweet as a nut when cold, as the oil gets warm a tappet announces itself quite loudly. Ive changed the oil and filter (10-40 from a reputable supplier), run a liqui - moly through as well but to no avail.
It`s done this since ive owned the car (almost 4k miles now) I can live with it but would rather not ; any suggestions, maybe replace the tappets ??

Are you sure it’s tappet noise and not VVC mechanism clack? A video would be good

I had this problem on a 1.4 wet liner K series [ noisey tappet ] running a full synthetic shell helix 5-40 cured it after a while.

Certainly worth an oil change

Im not sure its not vvc mechanism noise, Ive got cold and hot videos,got no idea how to upload them though, sorry !
