Piranha Key Fobs

Post by Plodder »

Does anyone know of a supplier and programmer of Piranha key fobs
I have a Piranha alarm but only one working key fob and one broken one.
I have tried contacting the company below but have struggled to get any response apart from an initial response saying they could give me a replacement.
http://www.piranha-alarms.co.uk/
Just wondered if anyone else had a lead to another supplier.
Thanks in advance.

Looking at that site, it looks like Piranha went out of business in 2000.

And that website is very old.

I think your best bet would be to remove it and go back to the original system, or get another. What car is it on?

It’s a 1991 Rover 416 GTi. I don’t know what the original system would have been on it or if it is still fitted. Luckily I have the installation book on it so I can hopefully see what all the connections are.
It’s been switched off for 10 years as it use to run the battery down. Now I just disconnect the battery
Are there some recommended systems about. The current system has a couple of sensors in the cabin, activates the central locking and has an alarm. Not sure if it has an immobiliser on it or not , will have to check the booklet.
